Corporate Social
Responsibility Activities

Quarry mining is a long-term business and we believe fostering relationships and partnerships with the neighbours by giving back to the communities around us could benefit both parties.

An example of this could be the permanent concrete road we built for the locals which brings economic benefits as well as ease of access for health, transportation and enhances connectiviry among local communities. The new concrete road connected Hnit Kayin Village, Ywar Thit Vilage and Walphae Village to Asia Highway.

It’s not just the roads that elevate the living standards of people, electricity also plays a huge role in the development of communities and we understand it pretty well.

Thapyay Power Generation Plant, a Mini-Grid Power Distribution System, which can produce ten megawatts for Rural Area Electrification Project is now operating to provide electricity to twelve villages around quarry area.

Community Matters Initiative

Locals are our neighbors and it is important to us that we understand each other. We operate under Social & Environment Policy Standards issued by ISO (International Organisation for Standardization) and we love to be transparent about how we run our operation.

Here are some facts about our environmentally friendly and ISO complaint quarry site :

  • No industrial waste is being produced from the site
  • We Made sure that the daily routines of our neighboring communities and villagers are not disturbed by our site’s activities and operations but rather created new job opportunities for them
  • No air pollution, water pollution and noise pollution as a result of our clean, green and sustainable operation practices.
  • Our site is following strict safety procedures and guidelines so that not just our staff but event the school kids on the tour to our site can feel safe.

We invited secondary school students (7th graders) from Walphae village to our site to have an insight of our safe-working environment from a perspective that is beyond the textbooks.

The students had a great time seeing the vehicles, equipment and how teamwork can operate big things.

The tour also reflects how our safety precautions and guidelines let us give a tour of the site to the students safety.
